Vietnamese Nu Breed EP

Spinnin' Records Asia continues to impress as it releases the much anticipated 3-track 'Vietnamese Nu Breed EP'. Presenting themselves on the best stage possible, Vietnamese up-and-coming artists Gotez, Monotape and Darrys deliver an impressive collection of club gems, each with its own unique production, ranging from vocal inspired tunes to raw, electronic sounds.

Following a series of widely acclaimed solo releases since its launch in late 2019, Spinnin' Records Asia now brings its first official EP. As always representing a particular part of the Asian dance culture, this package focuses on the emerging sounds from Vietnam, hosting three new artists that are making more and more waves within their respective scenes. It's their musical talent and productional skills that caught the attention of Spinnin', leading to this very fresh sounding 2020 EP featuring.   

First up is Gotez, a 17-year old producer who's only a the beginning of his career. His music nevertheless sounds mature and full of energy, perfectly showcased on this EP with 'Talking Heads', a record that builds on enticing vocals and warm melodies before unleashing a raw future house drop. Watch out also for that mesmerizing centerpiece, an original breakdown that nicely builds momentum again to the next climax.

Then there's Monotape, a 21-year old artist hailing from Hanoi where he's already receiving much support. With his 'Vietnam Radio' he brings a cool piece of tech house, featuring catchy vocal samples and nice jumpy melodies, providing the tune with a very addictive chorus. It's a record that's sure to stand out in any DJ set, and obviously aims at keeping things moving on the dancefloor.

Closing off the EP is Darrys, a star DJ/producer who’s been in the Vietnamese dance music scene for a long time and has played at Ravolution, one of the biggest festivals in Vietnam. Darrys delivers a raw piece of club music in the shape of 'Signal X'. The record slowly builds its energy with nicely dosed electronic punches, before unleashing a raunchy vocoder effect that will take the lead into a bass house styled groove. Brace yourself for this one, as its twisting sound effects are sure to get the crowd in a frenzy.

All together, the 'Vietnamese Nu Breed EP' brings an exclusive slice of what's currently happening in the Vietnamese dance scene. From uplifting melodic grooves and sweet vocals to rough electronic sounds to highlight the party. There's a lot of fresh stuff happening in the country, and Spinnin' Records Asia now shares an impressive showcase of it with the rest of the world.
